A Unique System

While there are many sites out there that now cater exclusively to "advanced" roleplayers, this leaves beginning writers in something of a quandary: how can you improve when all of your potential mentors are off in one of these exclusive sites?

However, the reason why many "advanced" roleplayers tend to avoid sites with lower standards is an understandable one. It can be frustrating to have to deal with roleplayers who do not use correct grammar and godmodel excessively.

At The Last Atlantis, there is an answer. Anyone may choose to apply and join Atlantis, and roleplay in the "Outer Rim" section of the board. After five posts, you may choose to be evaluated, and those members whose posts pass the Advancement Application standard may have access to all of the boards, meaning that while they may still post in the Outer Rim boards (thus helping those less experienced members who may learn from example), there is also a place where the advanced members (who have the option to become either “Atlantean” or “Etrani”) may roleplay exclusively with each other, thus reaping all the benefits of an advanced roleplaying site.

However, although anyone may join the site, this is not an excuse for low standards. Everyone who joins is expected to be intent on honing their abilities, and consequently sloppiness will not be tolerated. Members who have not yet passed the Advancement Application must have a minimum of 200 words in each post; those who have must have at least 300.
